Our dentists are always looking for the latest dental technology to improve your experience as a patient.
Whether you’re interested in a CEREC crown that can be made and placed in one appointment or digital impressions that won’t trigger your gag reflex, you can count on us to use new technology to your benefit.
CEREC Digital Impression Unit
Do you have a high gag reflex? If so, you’ll appreciate our CEREC digital impression unit. Instead of pressing a tray of pink putty against the roof of your mouth, we use a slim camera wand to take digital dental impressions of your teeth. Not only is CEREC noninvasive, but it also takes highly precise impressions to create same day dental crowns that look and feel natural.
CEREC Milling Units
Our same day dentists use CEREC to create and place your tooth crown in one appointment. In the past, dentists had to rely on off-site labs to make dental crowns and other tooth restorations. Using CEREC eliminates the need for a temporary crown and second appointment. Instead, you’ll be able to leave our office with a CEREC crown that’s durable and looks natural.
We use a milling unit right in our office to create your CEREC crown. The milling unit precisely cuts through a block of ceramic or other tooth-colored material to create your same day crown. We have different shades of material to create your restoration so it matches the rest of your smile.
GALILEOS 3D Imaging / SIDEXIS 4
It’s important to us that you fully understand your treatment options and what’s happening inside your mouth. That’s why our dentists use SIDEXIS 4 Software as a central place to access your dental x-rays, digital impressions, and other types of diagnostic images.
The SIDEXIS 4 Software lets us show you images of your teeth, gums, and jaw without having to switch between different screens. By being able to access all visual information in one place, our dentists can streamline your diagnosis and treatment.
Our dentists use 3D printing to create oral appliances and restorations for your smile. Instead of having a tray of pink goop inserted in your mouth, we use a noninvasive digital wand to scan impressions of your teeth. These digital impressions are then sent as a digital file to the 3D printer in our office. 3D printing is convenient because you don’t have to wait days or even weeks for your appliance or restoration to be made in an off-site lab.
We use the CamX Elara intraoral camera to take pictures of your smile. It’s much easier to understand what’s going on inside your mouth when we can show you pictures. The CamX Elara also helps our dentists track your treatment over time. This intraoral camera is noninvasive and won’t trigger your gag reflex.
We use the CamX Spectra Caries Detection Aid to find early signs of tooth decay, including plaque and tartar buildup. When the device spots decay, the cavity will fluoresce or glow on our screen as a different color from the rest of your tooth. The CamX Spectra is able to detect cavities that might have gone undetected by just x-rays alone, including cavities around fillings and crowns.
